SummaryResponsible for technical planning and requirements creation
for the integration and deployment of complex enterprise systems.
Responsible for the creation and documentation of system
configurations and guidelines. Create, organize, and distribute
documentation as required to support an end-to-end integrated
solution architecture. Responsible for the planning, coordination,
development, and supervision of all requirements related to the
integration of internal and external applications. Support
integration systems defining the use of APIs, message formats, data
mappings, and orchestrating the flow of information between
systems. Support lab and field trial deployments to ensure the
end-to-end integrated solution validation. The Systems Integration
Engineer will join the software services and platform syndication
team in support of designing integrated solutions and platforms
while providing detailed documentation, guidelines, and
implementing best practices.Job DescriptionCore Responsibilities
-
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify technical
requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs. -
- Designs requirements to facilitate integration and data
exchange between existing systems and newly developed adaptation
systems. -
- Designs requirements to facilitate integration and data
exchange between developed adaptation systems and customer specific
systems. -
- Develops and documents guidelines for customer systems to
successfully integrate with newly developed adaptation systems. -
- Responsible for creation and tracking of complex configurations
for end-to-end solution integration. -
- Responsible for creation of requirements and development of
traceability for integrated solution documentation. -
- Responsible for transfer of integrated solution requirements to
developers of adaptation systems. -
- Keeps current with technological developments within the
industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and
products. -
- Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and
guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. -
- Provide expert advice to project teams on use of integration
technology, data architecture, modeling, and system architecture
including integration best practices. -
- Assists in tracking and evaluating performance metrics. Ensures
team delivers requirements and documentation on time, to
specification and within budget. -
- Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause
analysis, and problem resolution of integrated systems. -
- Communicate project status to various levels of management. -
- Oversee the technology and standards for version control of
solution requirements and documentation. - -
- Displays expertise in knowledge of engineering methodologies,
concepts and skills and their application in integrated systems. -
- Displays expertise in process design and redesign skills.
Presents and defends architectural, design and technical
requirements to internal audiences. -

Experience We're Looking For: -
- Understanding of key networking protocols and technologies -
DOCSIS, HTTP/S, TCP, UDP -
- Familiarity with distributed systems, asynchronous messaging,
and network protocols. -
- Familiarity with data serialization formats like XML, JSON. -
- Familiarity with advanced software technologies and
environments. -
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate
complex ideas effectively with a strong bias for architecting at
scale. -Preferred Qualifications: -
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or
a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. -
- 3+ years of experience in cable/telecommunications industry. -
