About the Position

A health care client is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic AWS/Python Engineer to serve as a key member of our production support team. In this role, you will be involved in a mission-critical project, working with a team of smart, dedicated individuals who build solutions using Agile methodologies and Cloud platforms for a variety of healthcare industry clients. This position allows you to do more than just write code; you will have the opportunity to build quality solutions as a full-time consultant with a world-class IT company. The role is based in Whippany, NJ. As an AWS Python Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and production support of applications, utilizing Agile methodologies and Cloud platforms. You will work in an onshore-offshore model, collaborating with onshore/offshore developers. Your responsibilities will include following Agile and engineering best practices, participating in Agile ceremonies, and contributing to the overall success of the team. This position requires a strong background in full-stack engineering, including designing, developing, deploying, testing, and providing production support for applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and support applications using AWS and Python.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to team discussions.
Collaborate with onshore and offshore developers in an Agile environment.
Follow engineering best practices in software development and production support.
Deliver APIs, RESTful services, and Microservices.

Requirements

Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in full stack engineering.
Demonstrated experience in Python, AWS, and PL/SQL.
Good experience in delivering APIs, RESTful services, and Microservices.
Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, S3, VPC, and EC2.
Database experience with Oracle/SQL.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Veracode/Checkmarx.
Experience working in a healthcare or PBB setting with claims adjudication.
