Delivering Excellence in CareLehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) seeks a highly skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction of a physical therapist to provide patient care and support. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients in achieving their maximum performance level and preventing disability.The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be responsible for teaching patients exercise techniques, training them on activities such as walking with assistance, and demonstrating the use of physical agents and electrotherapy.The Physical Therapy Assistant will also be responsible for measuring changes in patient performance as a result of physical therapy and recommending modifications to existing treatment plans to achieve maximum results. Additionally, you will be expected to provide cost-effective care in accordance with departmental billing guidelines and complete all documentation based on policies and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy treatment consistent with the plan of care and the patient's condition
• Use appropriate teaching methods and materials to instruct patients, families, and/or staff in exercise or mobility techniques
• Recommends modifications to existing physical therapy treatment plans to achieve maximum results
• Applies modalities as indicated to aid patients in recovery and/or pain relief
• Provides cost-effective care in accordance with departmental billing guidelines
• Completes and submits all documentation based on policies/standards and regulatory requirementsRequirements:
  • Associate's Degree in physical therapy assisting
  • Ability to train and mentor others
  • Ability to work at various locations per diem
  • Must be able to provide safe, compassionate, and competent physical therapy treatments
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
