Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coder for Provider Practice in
Pulmonary, Critical Care, and CV Diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
Review medical documentation and assign appropriate diagnostic and
procedure codes
Support coding workflows related to Medicare and Commercial
Carrier, including denial review and appeals management
Participate in coding team meetings and serve as a subject matter
expert
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Certification
in Coding required
Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding schemes preferred
Must have certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, CCS-P,
CCS-H, or COC
Certification must be obtained within one year of hire if not
certified at the time of hire
